dashboard failure

My dashoard has suddenly a total fall out. No indicators on all devices, rpm, speed, fuel, clock, temp etc do not work anymore. In short, a total failure of the system. On the contrary, the lights and clignoteurs outside are still working but not the indicators on the dashboard. My dealer proposes a complete new dashboard at 800 euros!. Is there anybody who has experience or can help me to solve the problem. Regards Frans 46
