Volvo XC90 HELP!!!!!!?

a Volvo XC90 I've done a lot of research of the engines and still don't know! I've read the V8 is good but burns gas like crazy so that's

ed off. The T6 I'm staying away from already, the 2.5T I heard is a small engine for a mid size SUV but by far the best one for it. I will be buying one for my daughter in high school, who will just be driving to school and back (10 minute drive). Also is there such thing as a V6 engine or is that the same as T6? I really need to know which engine!! She is working but I do not want the car to have problems that often.

There's no such thing as a V6 in any recent Volvo. Probably you mean the straight six, which is the 2.9 or 3.2 I think. Nice engines but don't expect any fuel efficiency miracles. 2.5T is a good engine. Most likely the one I would pick myself (if there wouldn't have been a V8

Reading your introduction topic I don't know what to think right now...

But OK, get the 2.5t or 3.2.

Or just don't get an XC90 for a 10min school run, you'll kill it. It's meant for long distances.

Hi there,

I switched from V70R (N or P2 as you call it) to XC90 3.2 just last december. I can make a comparison quit easily.
Enginewise: stay with 5 cylinders. My straight 6, like you said of V8, burns fuel like .....
12 liters to 100 km is average. When pulling a cart and doing 130 in France, like I do a lot, it is even worse.
If you want my opinion on which car to choose: buy a V70. XC or N(N) is your choice. Space and safety are as good as it gets. Stick to 5 cylinder engine.
If you are not interested in mpg's a XC90 8 cylinder is the beast to have.

i'm with stupid on this one: if you consider an XC90 for 10 minute drives, you need HELP!!!
